NYC. I love manhattan and even though we only had 48 hours in the city with the kids, we did as much as we could! We happened to land there on July 4th, so we actually headed to the top of the rock to watch the fireworks and it was absolutely amazing!
We were leaving for Portugal from here for our big family reunion, so we tried to keep a pretty loose schedule with few things on our itinerary. We didn’t want to tire out our kids from the very first stop on our 2 week long Europe trip, so we just walked around, ate good food, played on all the playgrounds, and just enjoyed the concrete jungle in it’s glory.
The only piece of advice I really have for NYC with kids is to bring a stroller. It was literally our best friend throughout the city as we walked around and explored. It’s quite a bit of walking for those little legs because it’s such a fast paced city, and it’s really hard for them to keep up with it. Aria was 4.5 and Rishi was 3 so the stroller was still perfect! Next time we go, I doubt we will take one because they will be a little older and can hang for longer periods of time…or so I hope!
Either way, here are a few snaps from our time there in those few 48 hours, and there’s a video at the bottom!
There’s also a highlight on my Instagram that chronicles our 2 days there!
Feel free to pin it for your next travel to NYC! =)
