Fourth of July is next week, which means lots of BBQ will be happening! And, that typically means, hot dogs are bound to be on the menu! But I wanted to bring you 5 ways to spruce up that regular dog because ketchup and mustard can get sorta boring. I mean, don’t get me wrong, those are good, but hey, who doesn’t love a little variety?!

I wanted to make sure I hit all different types of flavors so you could really change it up! While I was making this, I just wanted to throw a party and have a hot dog bar! Have all these fixins and just let people assemble their own hot dogs!

ONE // Baked Beans and Bacon Dog

This one is as simple as it sounds. Baked beans, bacon, and a little red onion make this SO DANG GOOD.

TWO // Mango and Avocado Salsa Dog

This one requires a little bit more prep since you have to cut up the mango and the avocado but it’s totally worth it!

In a little bowl, add diced mango, diced avocado, red onion, salt, and lime juice. Stir it together to make sure it’s all combined. After topping the hot dog with the mixture, sprinkle some lime juice on top, and you’re good to go!

THREE // Sauerkraut topped with Sriracha Dog

Probably the easiest of them all is this. Put the sauerkraut on the dog, and instead of trusty old ketchup, add a little kick with some sriracha!

FOUR // Banh Mi Dog

A bit of an asian spin on this hot dog.

Start by stirring 2 tbsp of white vinegar with 1/2 a tsp of sugar, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add in some shredded carrots and let it sit for at least 10 minutes!

Top the dog with sliced cucumbers, jalapenos, cilantro, and the vinegar carrots! Absolutely delicious!

FIVE // Fajita Dog

A good ol’ Mexican take on this one!

Slice up some bellpeppers! Any colors will do! I did the red, yellow, and the green and sauteed them in some EVOO with some taco seasoning, until they become slightly softened. Top your hot dog with them, and there’s a little fiesta in your mouth!
