Many people celebrate the day they got married. I mean, don’t get wrong, I do too. Definitely an anniversary that is important to me. But for me, the day that we actually started dating and started this whole thing is more important. It’s the beginning. The start of a beautiful thing. To me, October 14, 2008 was when our love story began. And I’m happy to say that we have been together for six years today. We’ve been married for 3 1/2 of these six years. Gone through two houses. Made countless hard decisions and fun decisions. Traveled to 8 different countries together. We have a beautiful daughter together. Our life couldn’t be more perfect in our eyes.
Rudra is my best friend, my partner in crime, my soulmate, my husband, father of my daughter. He is the one person in this world who is always pushing me to do more. Always encouraging me and motivating me. People definitely change while they are with their spouse or partner, and I can honestly say this man has changed me for the better. I don’t think I’d have accomplished the things I have today if it weren’t for him these last few years.
We make an amazing team together no matter what comes our way. We’ve always faced our adventures with the “we’ll figure it out no matter what” attitude, and I love that about our relationship. We make decisions together, big or small. We consult each other and truly care about each others’ opinion. It can be as little as painting a room or about parenting, always on the same page. I look forward to growing old with this man because I know I will always be happy with him by my side.
Here are a few pictures from our six years together…
We’ve conquered quite a bit in these six years. I can hardly wait to see what the next six hold for us!

That is seriously adorable that you two still celebrate your dating anniversary, even though you're married.
