Well, hello there September! When did you come around?
Summer is still here given that we are living in high 90 degree temps while my Instagram feed blows up with people all around the east coast excited about fall and putting on their scarves, sweaters, and drinking PSLs at Starbucks. I couldn’t be more jealous. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love shorts-weather but it can get old when you’re trying to get things done and needing three showers a day since you’re sweating constantly… Yea. EW.
Our long weekend was a good one. My sister decided to drop by from College Station on Friday and hung out with us for the weekend. I’m so glad that she can just pop in whenever because of her proximity. I tell you. Location. Location. Location. Important in so many different ways right?

College rivalry at its best (UT vs A&M) …Aria is just along for the ride. HA. |
Anyhow, we just chilled and got some stuff around the house done. We also went to a baseball game Sunday night where Aria got to see fireworks for Labor Day celebrations. Her first baseball game and her first fireworks that she actually saw (she slept through the 4th of July fireworks). It was so sweet to see the fireworks light up in her eyes. But, lemme tell ya, this lil’ gal was not the biggest fan. She was gripping onto me oh so tightly but interested at the same time. Either way it was a perfect way to close out August. Sticky, hot summer nights with family, friends, beer, baseball, and fireworks. I’m not sure if there is anything better. A few snaps from our Sunday shenanigans…

Our version of a family selfie… |
Anyhow, this past week was another blog break for me, which I seriously needed. Blogging burnout is obvious to many of us bloggers and I definitely experienced my first burnout. I never want this space of mine to feel like a burden so the mini-hiatus was just what was needed! Buuuuuut, I think I have my mojo back and I’m ready to blast you guys with more stuff soon!
XO,
Alfa

Too fun! Aria's hair is looking so darling! 🙂
I keep seeing all these bloggers post about fall, and as much as I'm ready for it, I'm a tad jealous. Us Houstonians don't get to see it for another month or two.
And I totally feel ya about having a blogging burnout. It's crazy that this hobby is so time consuming! I love it, but a break every now and then is important. 😉
Have a good week, Alfa!

→ KristyHa thanks girl! Her hair is out of control! I can't believe how long it is!! And I'm so with you…living in Austin, Texas means that we just won't see boot/scarf weather for a while. *sigh*
And, yes. It's a like full-time job! Sometimes, I get so stressed out and I really think the only people who can relate are other bloggers! =)

→ Sarita @ it’s my girls’ worldThank you! Ugh! I'm actually jealous! I'm sure I wouldn't be saying that if the tables were turned but I'm so over the high 90s weather!! Can't do anything outside with my little one since it's impossible to hang out in the sun!! Enjoy your last few warm weeks girl!
