My sweet, baby girl is turning one!! OH. MY. GOD.  Knowing how little time I get each day, I know I wanted to start planning this way ahead of time so that I wouldn’t freak out at the last minute! Given that she was born in November and in Texas, I knew that an outdoor party would be perfect. It’s beautiful weather since it tends to be in the 70s/80s! So I went ahead and decided to have a little garden themed party in my backyard, and incorporated mint, pink, white, and gold as the main colors of the party!

I’m not usually this girly with colors but for some reason I really wanted flowers and a girly party for her first birthday. So, why not right? Let’s go ahead and exploit being girly!! Even Rudy was like “thank god you have a girl” as I was perusing Pinterest one night in bed. I will be DIY-ing most of the decor myself so stay tuned for hopefully some tutorials coming up for party decor!

Here is a glimpse at her party invitation that I painted and then added text to! I’m loving the flowery-girly-ness of it! =)

XO,

Alfa

Thank you so much! I've been obsessed with these colors for a while so I figured what better than to incorporate them into her first birthday!

Wait, you painted that?! Whoa girl. that is amazing. and of course, the color and theme for this birthday is ADORABLE. My son is turning 1 at the end of October and everytime someone asks me about a party I respond "meh, I dunno". I hope he doesn't grow up wishing he had awesome birthdays ha!

Thanks girl! And yea, don't even worry about it. I doubt that kids remember any of this! I'm pretty sure this party is more for me to celebrate the fact that I made it through my first year of parenthood! That deserves some cake right?! HAHA. =)
