So if you follow me on social media, like Instagram, you know that I went to Arizona this past weekend for a little girls’ getaway! I haven’t been away for a very long time and this was much needed! Lots of uninterrupted convos, adventure, a little bit of rest, and crazy amounts of laughing. It was seriously therapeutic!
What I didn’t enjoy was the desert atmosphere. It completely dried out my skin, but I was prepared! I know that when I travel, my skin always suffers a little bit. The air can be dry, the plane is always pretty icky for my skin, and depending on all the temperatures we go through as we travel, lots happen to our skin. Especially in places like Arizona. To solve the dryness issue, I try to keep hydrating products with me, so that I can stay on top of my skincare routine!

School starts in 3 days and I’m freaking out and excited at the same time! I mean, this summer has been from hell. I’ve had both littles attached to me and looking to me for constant entertainment 24/7. Like, why? WHY? #ihatesummer

So I’m more than ecstatic about being with one kid a few hours during the week, instead of two. Nonetheless, going back to school also brings back a lot of fun things like germs, sickness, and lice! EW. EW. EW. We’ve luckily never dealt with lice, but I’m all about keeping it at bay. Thanks to HEB, I can purchase awesome products like SoCozy to do preventative care on Aria’s hair for going back to school! That girl has a lot of hair, and I know that I need to watch out. Especially since she loves sharing her princess crowns and tiaras with her friends!

The “momdrobe’ can be real struggle when you’re a stay at home mom. I don’t want to wear sweats everyday. I obviously can’t chase a toddler with heels on. I mean I could, but let’s be real…I’d twist my ankle in a second. I like looking put together when I leave the house, and sometimes I get bored of jeans and a top. I’ve switched up my wardrobe to more of a “momdrobe” so that I can wear more of it, because it used to be filled with office wear as well and obviously that’s not getting put to any use. I have a few things for when I go out on date night or for a girls night out, but for the most part, it needs to be dedicated to my everyday life, which caters mainly to motherhood.

Enter this amazing dress I found. Goes with wedges, flats, converse…just about everything. Easy to throw on everyday and makes you look put together in a snap!

It comes in a few colors and I scored my striped blue one on sale for $12!! Not sure if it’ll happen again, but it’s on sale right now for $15 which is pretty hard to beat.

No, but like seriously. I’ve got #mombod and this dress does an okay-ish job of hiding some of those extra rolls my babies gifted me. =)

Just go buy it and thank me later.

Well, hey there. If you’re reading this, you know damn well that I’ve been pretty MIA. It’s been hard these last few weeks with the kiddos and it really hasn’t left me much “my time”. Plus, I’ve been working a lot for my shop and that’s been taking priority as well. BUT, I really miss just writing so I turned to my good ol’ blog.

[ONE] Shoes. I’ve been buying the most boring shoes lately as my life has gotten chaotic and wearing cute shoes just doesn’t work out for me most of the time. I’ve just turned to comfort since it’s much easier to chase kids that way. BUT then, these peeked out at me when I was just perusing the aisles at Target the other day. And oh wait…a red sticker? Shut up. Clearance? And whoa whoa, my size? Did god just smile at me? Hallelujah. I picked these beautiful navy wedges up for $20. Wedges are still doable with kids once in a blue moon…or I justified that to myself when I bought these because I literally could not put them back.

[TWO] Every summer I chop off a bit of my hair because it’s just so dang hot down here. This Sunday is supposed to be 105. Uncool. See what I did there? Ohhh me and my “punniness”. OK, I’ll stop now. But no seriously, battling long hair, especially with a 2 month old again always in my arms is murder. But I told myself, no way no how was I cutting my hair this summer. I’ve wanted long hair for as long as I can remember and I knew the only way to get there was to not chop it off this summer even if it meant that I would have more buns and ponytails. And I was like man that’s gonna suck with putting in all the effort of straightening and then denting it with an rubberband. And then, I discovered these wonderful things. I think I’m totally late to the game on these but they are a serious game changer for me. I can have a ponytail and it not leave a dent! Like what???? Sign me up! So anyway, these have become my new arm candy and I’m lovin’ it.

[THREE] Counting down the hours til’ this evening because the hubs returns from his yearly conference. This year was tough and my mom came to help a little. But man, I am looking forward to having a break of having to bathe/diaper/clothe/feed two babies. My. Back. Is. Dead. Hubby did well tho by sending me some goodies to make it through!

Aaaaaand, I hear a baby. I guess that means no more writing for me. Til’ next time loves!

Gonna jump right on in…

[ONE] Now, I know I talked about sandals a couple of weeks ago, but I’m also obsessed with these (on sale this week!). Like, in love. They are ridiculously comfy too. Basically, another staple in my closet for the summer.

This nail color. LOVE. I rarely pick up fun colors for my nails since I love neutrals, pinks, and reds but I just saw this at Target and had to have it. I think it reminded me of Tiffany blue. 😉

Not to mention, the last time I did a “crazy” color, was at least like 5 years ago! Ha! I guess it’s time to change that around right?

Excuse my nail painting..this is what happens when you paint nails fast so that you can tend to your 6 week old! =P

Now I think I’m late to the game on this one (let’s blame motherhood on that) but I’m super obsessed with the curling wand. After watching endless tutorials on YouTube while nursing, I think I finally figured it out and I don’t think I’ll go back to a regular curling iron with the clamp. If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend it! This is the one I’m using and it rocks!

Hope you guys all have a fabulous Fourth of July weekend!
