Me. All types of happy. Cuz pizza and carbs and cheese…and need I go on?
Sooooo it’s Tuesday. And for some odd reason, I feel like it should already be Thursday…although I’m probably wishing that because my sister is coming into town that day and I’m just so dang excited!!
Nonetheless, not sure if you caught my last coffee chat where I talk about trying out new restaurants, but for lunch today, we ventured out to a new pizza spot out in Round Rock (Austin, TX). People have been raving about this place and it was time to give it a go! My whole 30 diet went out the window, buttttt pizza ya know. #worthit
After Rudy being gone for almost two weeks, we wanted to squeeze in a little family time yesterday!! This is also one of the main reasons I’ve been MIA on here…single parenting doesn’t leave a lot of time for myself or anything really, hence no blogging! =(
Nonetheless, today we got out for some much needed family time, and went down to the Zilker Garden Festival! We absolutely love the Zilker Botanical Garden because it’s absolutely beautiful, and when you throw in kid crafts, music, and food trucks, we are so there!
Our engagement anniversary just passed at the end of January, and I absolutely love celebrating this specific anniversary. It was an important day, as we decided to hold hands for the rest of our lives and stand by one another, and share everything between us. I know what you’re thinking…what about our wedding anniversary? Well, our wedding anniversary is important, but I find that since we technically chose that day out of convenience for our family/friends and schedules, it loses a bit of its “special-ness” because it just doesn’t have that touch of spontaneity, which is exactly what I love about our engagement.
What a beautiful weekend if you were down in the south! 60s and 70s, and a whole lotta sun!! We decided to check out Midway Food Park yesterday and it was an absolute blast!
If you’re a local in Austin, definitely check out this really cool food trailer park! Quite a few cuisines to choose from, even if you’re vegan! Plus, they have a ton of area for the kids’ to run around it and a playscape area!
On Tuesday, we ventured out to check out a really cool spot in Austin known as Hope Outdoor Gallery. I’ve always wanted to see this piece of the city as it is definitely a giant piece of artwork! The colors are amazing to capture, and its definitely expressive (some bad, but mostly good! Let’s just say I’m glad Aria doesn’t know how to read otherwise those four letter words would’ve been a little harder to explain! Ha!). The kids had a blast walking around and looking out at the entire city from the top! Such a fun little excursion!
They are going to move it according to news which is definitely sad. I love that people can come here with their own spray can, and write whatever message they want! Many a proposals have definitely happened here!
