We wanted to get out, and enjoy the first day of October because the weather was too good to just stay inside! We decided to head to a local farmer’s market, which was an absolute B L A S T! There were so many activities for the kids, and there were a ton of vendors whether you wanted to buy fresh vegetables, drink amazing coffee or fresh juices, eat BBQ, listen to music, or even do yoga! The two things that the kids were super excited was the petting zoo, and the horse riding! It was soooo cute! They got to hold bunnies, turtles, birds, and a bearded dragon! And then of course, the icing on the cake were the horses. I mean, how can you beat horses, am I right??
This post is sponsored by American Girl. But all opinions and content are my own as always!
I think one of my childhood dreams literally came true today! I got to stroll through an American Girl store today right here in Austin, and basically played with a bunch of dolls with my bestie. We’re adults…I think…trust me. =)
Austin is opening up an American Girl pop up shop down here in Austin,TX tomorrow that will last through January 31st, and I’m super worried about what it’ll do to our bank account! Everything in there is so stinkin’ cute. I’m just glad I didn’t take Aria with me otherwise we basically would’ve never left.
Me. All types of happy. Cuz pizza and carbs and cheese…and need I go on?
Sooooo it’s Tuesday. And for some odd reason, I feel like it should already be Thursday…although I’m probably wishing that because my sister is coming into town that day and I’m just so dang excited!!
Nonetheless, not sure if you caught my last coffee chat where I talk about trying out new restaurants, but for lunch today, we ventured out to a new pizza spot out in Round Rock (Austin, TX). People have been raving about this place and it was time to give it a go! My whole 30 diet went out the window, buttttt pizza ya know. #worthit
After Rudy being gone for almost two weeks, we wanted to squeeze in a little family time yesterday!! This is also one of the main reasons I’ve been MIA on here…single parenting doesn’t leave a lot of time for myself or anything really, hence no blogging! =(
Nonetheless, today we got out for some much needed family time, and went down to the Zilker Garden Festival! We absolutely love the Zilker Botanical Garden because it’s absolutely beautiful, and when you throw in kid crafts, music, and food trucks, we are so there!
Our engagement anniversary just passed at the end of January, and I absolutely love celebrating this specific anniversary. It was an important day, as we decided to hold hands for the rest of our lives and stand by one another, and share everything between us. I know what you’re thinking…what about our wedding anniversary? Well, our wedding anniversary is important, but I find that since we technically chose that day out of convenience for our family/friends and schedules, it loses a bit of its “special-ness” because it just doesn’t have that touch of spontaneity, which is exactly what I love about our engagement.
