My MIL (Dimma, pronounced dee-mah, is what we call her out of love!) was here for the last two weeks and it’s been amazing to have her here, which is also why I’ve been so MIA on here!
We’ve had countless date nights, meals made for us, help with the kiddos, and so much more! Plus, watching my babies love on her so much is heartwarming. They have such a sweet bond, and I can’t wait to see it grow and blossom as they get older. Aria and Rishi are going to learn so much from her because she’s absolutely amazing. She leaves tomorrow and it’s so incredibly sad to see her go. I know the kids will miss her dearly, as will we. =(
But yesterday, we spent the day with her and got a few pictures to remember this visit by! I know the next time we see her, the kids will be that much older! A few months here and there with them can make such a difference, so I wanted to document it for them (and us!) to have!!
I’m not the biggest fan of resolutions. Trying to stick to something your mind made up at the beginning of a 365 day period, and then following through on day 365 is definitely not easy. Unless your resolution is like, to eat chocolate every day… Because let’s be real… We can all do that one… #amirightoramiright
On Tuesday, we ventured out to check out a really cool spot in Austin known as Hope Outdoor Gallery. I’ve always wanted to see this piece of the city as it is definitely a giant piece of artwork! The colors are amazing to capture, and its definitely expressive (some bad, but mostly good! Let’s just say I’m glad Aria doesn’t know how to read otherwise those four letter words would’ve been a little harder to explain! Ha!). The kids had a blast walking around and looking out at the entire city from the top! Such a fun little excursion!
They are going to move it according to news which is definitely sad. I love that people can come here with their own spray can, and write whatever message they want! Many a proposals have definitely happened here!
I can hardly believe that Christmas is 6 days away! December has been flying by and I truly hate that this month is disappearing so quickly. I love this time of the year, and especially decorating my house! The kids faces light up the minute the trees and all the twinkling lights turn on in the house, and it’s literal magic to see them get so excited. I used to love this time of year when it was just us, but now that my babies are here. Oh man. There’s something extra extra extra special that happens when your little ones are around during the holiday time! Experiencing the holiday spirit through them has been one of the best things ever! This year especially as Aria understands more and more!
Nonetheless, here’s a little mini tour of our home this year!
