Hey there Friday! I heart Trader Joe’s. I actually haven’t met too many people that don’t love that TJs! 90% of things I eat from there, I love and eventually keep buying. So I figured I’d do a couple of posts where I can talk about what all we eat from there! Some of their meals are so easy to put together, and come together in no time which is why I knew I wanted to share with you guys! So here goes, 5 easy meals we love from Trader Joe’s!! I guarantee there is going to be a Part 2 (if not more) of this in the next few weeks too, so stay tuned!
1// Harissa Chicken with Cucumber and Roasted Potatoes
TJ’s has this amazing Harissa sauce that I’m obsessed with! I used it to marinate some chicken thighs that I baked in the oven. I probably marinated for a little over 3 hours in the fridge, and baked in the oven for 20 at 425 degrees. I roasted some potatoes right next to it, and sliced up some fresh cucumbers as well! It was such a fresh and delicious dinner. The only warning on this…it’s on the spicier side. Not super spicy by any means, but I knew my kids probably couldn’t handle it yet.
2// Chicken Chow Mein
This is super easy! Kids will eat it too, and it takes minutes on the stove! Serve it up with number 4 on this list to really make a giant “at home takeout chinese!” Perfect for a exhausted, Friday night because we all know how tired we are at the end of the week nowadays! Remember when we used to go out and party…now I just want DJ blankie and some Netflix. #imold #andlame
3// Cauliflower Pizza Crust
Ok, so this one isn’t ready made either, but it comes together in the time it takes to preheat the oven so I wouldn’t back away just yet! I add any kind of pasta/pizza/tomato sauce as a base, top it with sliced cherry tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and then stick it in the oven once the crust is ready to go. Once the cheese is melted and the pizza is cooked, I top it with fresh prosciutto and crushed red pepper! IT. IS. SO. GOOD.
4// Mandarin Orange Chicken
This stuff is soooo good! My kids eat this up too! Like I said before, feel free to make this with number 2 if you’re wanting to feed a whole family! I always add sesame seeds at the end, and then eat it over shredded cabbage! It’s super delicious, and takes just a few minutes on the stove!
5// Turkey Bolognese
This stuff is found in the freezer section too, and it can heat up in the microwave! Toss it with some zoodles or with pasta! I made it for my kids the other day with some elbows, topped it with some cheese, and let it melt in the oven! So many ways to use this one thing! It’s basically just turkey meat sauce! Put it inside little zucchini boats, or make stuffed peppers with it! I’m telling you this stuff is gold!
Hope you guys loved all these suggestions! Have you eaten any of these?? I’ll do a part two soon as well to talk more about what else we eat from there!

Awesome post! I love Trader Joe’s but always wonder which ones are worth the buy! I can’t wait to try the Harissa Chicken! I hope it’s not too spicy for my seven-year-old, but he’s pretty tolerant of spice! Fingers crossed! At any rate, I know I’ll love it! Thanks!

The Harissa Chicken looks so good, I actually do not have a trader joes anywhere near me tho. :0(
Any idea’s what a good substitute would be for the harissa?
Alfa
→ TinaOh man that sucks!! I actually checked on Amazon, and there were a couple of Harissa spice blends! You might be able to get one of those and mix it with a bit of water to make a paste! I bet it would turn out AMAZING!!
