Playrooms. They can be a little controversial on whether or not you should have one, but I guess we are the family that has one, and I honestly love that there’s a place for all their toys to exist. I do pick it up once a day, so that it takes a maximum of 5 minutes to clean, otherwise I tend to look the other way and pretend I can’t see the mess basically!
Here’s a little tour of our playroom, which is upstairs and while that can be a little annoying, it helps that the mess always is mostly out of my sight. Who’s with me?? Out of sight, out of mind right?? I almost didn’t want to share this because it isn’t really “done” but I don’t really know when that will happen, so I figured I may as well show you guys what I right now! And it probably never looks this clean…I took these pictures while they were at school!! HA.
About 90% of what’s in their playroom when it comes to furniture and storage is from IKEA. It was affordable, and simple so I went with it to create a more clean look for the room.

Wait…. Not having a playroom is a thing that people choose to do?!?! We used to live in a small two bedroom condo and when we were looking for our home a playroom was on the top of the list! I love having our adult space that is free from toys! I mean the toy clutter can really drive a mom crazy!
I just shared our playroom on my blog recently and was hesitant as well. Its like an ever evolving room that I feel will never be complete!
