Dressing for Fall in Texas Weather!

Texas weather is a like a guessing game. Am I gonna need a jacket today? Do I wear sandals or boots?  If you’re a Texan, you pretty much know what I’m talking about but if you’re not, let me fill you in on what this last week has looked like for us… Monday was cold, but handleable. Tuesday was ridiculously chilly with clouds, rain, and extra wind (yuck, especially since it was Halloween). Wednesday was similar to Monday but a smidge warmer. Thursday and Friday were hot, and we were in shorts. The weekend consisted of nothing but humidity to the point where you could basically drink the air. Ummmmmm, I don’t even know what to tell you but getting dressed is super annoying when the weather is this temperamental!

It’s basically impossible to put away all your summer clothes here, but you definitely need to bust out your scarves and boots when the weather decides it actually wants to play the role of the season we are supposed to be in. Like, today. It’s cold, windy, and rainy! YIKES!! Anyway, I partnered with Cuddl Duds to show you guys how easy it is to use these as layering pieces if you’re cold, or just be able to wear them in out and about this fall!

Look 1

I chose a long sleeve crew to pair with a pleated skirt and a black leather jacket to be ready for any fun evening out this fall! It was so much fun to put this one together because it was just fun and flirty!

Look 2

Next up was this cowl long sleeve tunic which I paired with some leggings and hunter boots! You guys, this piece is waaaarm!! I shot these pictures on a very hot and muggy day out in Austin, and wanted to die in this one because it was keeping me ultra warm! Definitely dragging this one up with me to New Jersey for Thanksgiving in a couple of weeks since I’ll be dealing with some cooler temps! A huge plus is it has thumb holes, and who doesn’t love thumb holes!!

For this last one, I just paired the long sleeve crew neck with some black skinny jeans and some leopard tassel loafers! Easy to run errands in, play with the kids, or go to work if you work in a casual environment!

Absolutely love these pieces from Cuddl Duds since they are going to get quite a bit of use this fall and winter down here in Texas! Excited to keep pairing them with more things in my closet since they are such easy staples!
