Spicy Mango Moscow Mule!

These past five months have been educational as I move towards eating a lot healthier, and fully understand what we are putting in our bodies. It all started in December when my mother landed in ICU because of a diabetes crash for over 3 days. I can’t even put into words what I was feeling, and what our entire family went through. It was life altering for all of us to really make strides in eating the right stuff, and cutting out the crap, like sugar.

Sugar is just awful and it’s practically in EVERYTHING. As I was doing the whole 30 a couple of weeks ago, it taught me so much about reading labels and really understanding the ingredients. You guys. Learn to read those labels. You’ll know how much you’re consuming immediately…

Now don’t get me wrong. I haven’t cut it completely out, but I definitely make a serious effort in watching how much sugar I take. Enter Zevia! Products like Zevia have definitely helped with finding balance! Sugar free and no artificial sweeteners! So I took it and ran with it! Decided to take this yummy ginger ale and put a spin on a regular moscow mule, to turn it into a sugar free spicy mango moscow mule!

Temps have been on the constant eighties around here which basically means, summer is like two seconds away from being here! Bring on all the yummy, cold cocktails! Especially at witching hour!! =)

This is a super easy recipe and can be whipped up within minutes!! Refreshing, with a spicy kick to give it a lil’ somethin’ somethin’!

Ingredients:

1 can of Zevia ginger ale

4 oz of vodka

1 jalapeno, sliced into rings

1 oz of lime juice

5 tbsp of fresh diced mang

Mint (for muddling and garnish)

Directions:

In the bottom of a shaker, muddle 2 slices of jalapenos, the mango, a little bit of mint, lime juice, and vodka together. Strain into two moscow mule (or regular) glasses filled with ice. Top off with the ginger ale and serve with a mint sprig and a slice of lime!

Notes:

To make it spicier, add more jalapenos but it will make the mango flavor not as prominent. So make sure to also add more mango to keep that sweet flavor too!

Zevia is available at most grocery stores so it’s always within reach! Grab some and make this yummy cocktail!

Eating healthy, and making the right choices will never hurt. Are you reading the labels when you buy your groceries? It’s important to know what we are putting into our bodies. After all, it’s a machine and definitely needs to the right stuff to run well! If you make it, lemme know!!
