WINTER IS COMING…
Is anyone else feeling like they need Game of Thrones to come back? I mean, serious withdrawal symptoms happening over here sometimes when I can’t find a single thing to watch on TV! I really wish their seasons weren’t so spread apart, but their production is truly excellent, so I guess I’ll let them slide. =)
But no seriously. Winter is coming. And with it, tons of coughs, sniffles, and sickness. You guys. WE ARE IN FLU SEASON!!!
Aria goes to pre-school three days a week, and I know those little hands always come home with germs. And as much as I wish I could wash away those teeny fingers at every minute, life happens. We experienced it last year when she was going to school, and we faced quite a few colds at home. No bueno, because it spreads from her to me, me to Rishi, and then Rishi to the hubs. It’s a vicious circle and it basically just sucks.
This year, I knew I was going to be prepared. I was going to have my little winter tool kit ready to go to battle all those little sniffles, for me and the kiddos!! I went and stocked up at Target the other day so I’d be prepared for these next few months!
I knew that just having children’s medications wouldn’t suffice while braving winter! Being a mother means I get no time off, and definitely don’t get any “sick time”! So to stay on top of it, I keep Bengay around to help all those back aches from picking up the babies all day! And, I have Tylenol and Motrin help to fight those nasty cold symptoms, if I do end up catching those lovely germs from my little lovebugs after all the cuddles and snuggles! Which I must admit, is the only good thing about them being sick!!
A couple of things I keep in my toolkit to keep flu season in check!
Nonetheless, I’m ready. Winter is coming, and I’m ready to kick it’s butt!! Gotta keep my sweet babies healthy while soaking in all the Christmas and holiday cheer!!
How do you prepare your family for the winter season? I’d love any tips you’ve got!!
