Current Makeup Faves

As a mama of two now, makeup isn’t really something I have a lot of time for. I have maybe just a few minutes to grab a shower everyday where I’m rushing like a maniac. I get out, quickly scramble to put some clothes on, and then end up with about 3 minutes to add makeup to my face.

Now of course there are days where I go without makeup, but the days I do put it on, I feel much more put together and feel ready to take on the day. Same thing about clothes… I’ve noticed if I keep my yoga pants/pajamas/sweats on, I feel less productive somehow and have a much more lazy day. Getting dressed and choosing to wear regular clothes, makes me a happier mama who feels more like a person which automatically motivates me to get stuff done.

But I digress…

So another thing about makeup for me is that I rarely have time to buy expensive, luxury brand or department store makeup. About 90% of it is from drugstores, because let’s face it, I go to target ALOT. It’s easy to pick up most of what I need right then! Ah, mom life and catering towards convenience.

Anyhow, here are my current makeup faves that are simple, easy, and most importantly fast!!

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush

I’m loving cream blushes. They stay on longer over the powder blushes especially while running around during the day. This one in particular is light and airy, and doesn’t feel too heavy on your face. You could use a sponge or a blender to put it on but I just use my fingers and it glides on just fine!

CoverGirl Super Sizer Mascara

I have really thin lashes and this brush worked really well to not make my lashes clumpy. I. HATE. CLUMPY. LASHES. Like I super despise them. Nonetheless, I know that mascaras are one of those products that are very different person to person, but if you happen to have fine lashes, I highly recommend you to try this guy. You might just love how well it elongates your lashes!

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Cream Eyeshadow

Another product I’ve discovered that I’m pretty obsessed with are these cream eyeshadows from Maybelline. I just use my finger to glide these on my eyelids and they last all day! ALL DAY!! Plus, they don’t crease as easily which totally rocks my world. I rely on three neutrals basically: Creamy Beige (top left), Barely Branded (top right), and Tough as Taupe (bottom).

Garnier BB Cream

I definitely don’t use this everyday. I save this for special events but I thought I’d add it in because it rocks. Smooth and airy. Can’t even feel it on my face when I put it on because there is no cakey feeling!

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil

I follow this beauty blogger and she had some great tips and a tutorial on using this pencil as a base for eyeshadow (instead of a eyeshadow primer) and also for contouring. Use it to also highlight your eyebrow bone. On the inner corners of your eyelids. I just love it. Especially how effective a $5 pencil can be in my makeup bag! Make sure to get the white pencil…I think the color is called Milk.

CoverGirl Intensify Me Eyeliner

I know liquid liners can be intimidating for some but this pencil is able to take away all of the scaryness for those folks for sure. I love that you have an option of a thin or a thicker line if you just turn the tip. I was a huge fan and it lasted the entire time without smudging.

I definitely don’t claim to be a beauty blogger, but when I find products I love, especially at this stage in my life, I feel the need to share with others!

Have any beauty drugstore products you just can’t do without? I would love to know other products that are making your lives easier!

XO,

Alfa

I received the mascara and the eyeliner complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes
