High Five for Friday! [8.8.14]

Happy Friday! Been looking forward to this weekend since the hubs was out again all week for work. Sigh. But luckily I had some company while he was away so my days weren’t too bad! Which basically kicks of my number one for today…

My sister came to visit! I was so happy that she was here to keep me company because I hate how lonely the evenings can get when Aria goes to sleep. Plus, this is the last time I get to spend time with her like this since she heads off to college in about 2 weeks! YIKES! While she was here, we also made a little trip up to College Station since she’s going to be attending A&M. I got to see her campus, her apartment, and ate at an infamous taco place called Fuego. This of course is causing rivalry in my household given that my husband is a Longhorn (University of Texas). Let’s just say it’s intense. =)
Plus, she got to spend some quality time with Aria. I love the aunt and niece bond they are forming. Makes my heart smile each time they are around one another. I hope that Aria can confide and tell her things that she may not be able to tell me in the future. I hope she has one of the strongest bonds with her! I think they are off to a pretty solid relationship already…

Given that my sister is going off to college, she of course wanted to decorate her dorm. So we spent a little bit of time painting while she was here and came up with these four pieces to fill one of her large walls! I absolutely love it! I really want to paint another set like this even though it doesn’t fit anywhere in my house! Does anybody need these in their house! I’m so willing to paint it!

I have to talk about this amazing find for Aria! I’m loving shopping for her clothes more and more since as she gets older, the choices increase. Bad news for my wallet but it’s so hard to resist!!
I picked this up at Target the other day! I. LOVE. IT.

If you know me, you know I love coffee. Well, I stumbled upon the greatest deal this week. Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee for a dollar in any size after 12 PM!!! A freakin’ buck!! Um, I don’t know about you but that is amazing. It lasts til’ the end of September luckily so I have some time to get my fill! My fave is the hazelnut with cream, easy ice. It’s AH-mazing! And yes, that is my sweet kiddo sleeping in the back…

Last but not least, I just wanna take a second and complain about my 100 degree hot temps here in Austin. Now that I have a kid, I hate it even more than my previous summers since she loves to be outside! Thoroughly looking forward to cooler temps which are still a while away unfortunately. Although what’s hilarious is that stores are starting to stock fall clothing…I mean, what is that about? I just received my Carter’s fall catalogue full of full sleeved clothes. Just looking at it was making me hot… I love me some cute scarves and boots, but at the moment I’m living in shorts and tshirts on the reg. Enough of my rant…,here is Aria just dying to be outside… *sigh*

This paintings are amazing! I use to drink Dunkin' Donuts when I was living in the north but now that I'm in SF, there's not as many here but that drink sounds amazing! I love coffee too! It was pretty hot when I was visiting Austin last month but I can imagine it got hotter. I miss wearing shorts and tank tops since SF is never hot enough to wear that. *sigh. Stay cool and know that fall is around the corner!
