Loving my new desk space! Still so much to add but loving how it’s coming together! |
Happy Friday! I’m so glad that it’s finally here since this week was L.A.M.E. The week after a vacation always blows so yes, I’m quite thankful the weekend has arrived.
This week was super productive and fruitful! I had gone thrifting earlier this week, and scored major loot. So my five for today is going to revolve around my frugal finds from this week! Less than 50 bucks spent, and a few extra corners in my house decorated. I’m a happy gal folks.
[ONE]
I had been wanting to decorate the shelves above my kitchen cabinets for a while but I had no ideas, whatsoever. But then, I was pinteresting late one night (such a bad habit guys…sometimes I go to sleep so late at night cuz I’m pinteresting!) and stumbled across a picture of plates on a wall. And I thought, DUH. I should hang plates above the cabinets!!! I found these amazing plates for a buck a piece, which is hilarious since they are fine china! HA. Either way, now they are decor for my kitchen!
[TWO]
I ran across this cute little vase for a dollar and just had to have it for my desk. It was too cute to pass up! So I added a few pink flowers and voila!
[THREE]
Ok, I’ve always detested the fact that lamps can get super expensive. Like seriously? It’s just a lamp. SHEESH! Anyhow, I stumbled across a beautiful gold base lamp and a drum lamp shade. Done and done. Wanted it for my desk, so I spray painted the lamp shade black and it immediately looked amazeballs. Since I already had the spray paint at home, this little makeover only cost me $20. WIN.
[FOUR]
Been looking for a cool frame for above my desk for this lovely little saying cuz I truly love it. “Quit slacking and make shit happen.” Not sure why, but it’s just fitting. Either way, ran across this little gem for $5 and instantly knew I could use it somehow for that space above my desk. Went home, got out my trusty spray paint once again and just went to town. Loving how it came out!
[FIVE]
Last but not least, the biggest win was this amazing mirror! I’ve been looking for a gold mirror and this just happened to be sitting in its box for a mere $15. SOLD! It’s now hanging above my console table in my entryway!! I can’t even begin to tell you how obsessed I am with this!

Awesome finds!! I know the mirror is from Target (I've had my eye on that one and a few others), but where'd ya score the vase and the lamp?! They're so cute! Also, where can I get the quote? I freaking LOVE it! It's perfect for a desk space. I'm moving into a new apartment in August and I definitely need some cute stuff to decorate it!
I found you through the Sunday Funday link-up. Thanks for sharing your great finds. This is going on my pinterest board! 🙂 xx

→ Elena LedbetterAfter I tried looking for some DIY options on Pinterest, I came across this lady who had the same problem as me I guess! We roughly played with the measurements and about two days later, a console table was born! =)

And I've had my eye on that mirror… but it's still not $15 at my target 🙁

→ Elena LedbetterI actually found it at a thrift store! I know I wouldn't find it at Target for 15 bucks even on the luckiest of days!!!
