Eating fruit is obviously good for you. DUH. I mean, we’ve been hearing from day 1, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away!” But, let’s face it. How often do you sit down and eat a whole bowl of fruit? Ok, maybe you do but this gal doesn’t. It’s just blah to me. Never been the biggest fan of fruit, so I know I needed to jazz it up so I could actually enjoy it, and maybe even look forward to it.
So, I jazzed up my apples, bananas, and blueberries with some peanut butter and chocolate chips. This tastes amazing folks. PLUS, it can double as breakfast and/or dessert (chocolate chips make it count as dessert right?)!
Ingredients:
1 Fuji apple, chopped into little cubes (you can use whatever apple you like)
1 banana, sliced
A handful of blueberries
2 Tbsp of smooth peanut butter
Optional: chocolate chips (you choose the amount!)
Directions:
1. Start with the apples at the bottom of the bowl. Layer the bananas next, and then top it off with the blueberries.
2. Heat up the peanut butter in the microwave for about 12-15 seconds. Drizzle it all over the fruit!
3. Sprinkle the chocolate chips if you want to add it! 🙂
Note: You can also add other fruit to this such as strawberries or raspberries.
Just look at that peanut buttery chocolatey goodness!
Hope you guys enjoy this! I know my hubs sure did! He loves this as a snack! I definitely enjoy my fruit with some chocolate. HA. It’s probably a fail on the healthy part of this post, but it’s chocolate for crying out loud!!!
Til next time!
Xoxo,
