24 Weeks!

How far along: 24 weeks…about 16ish more to go! =)

Size of our sweet baby: An ear of corn!

Maternity clothes: Fa sho.

Gender: A girl! =)

Sleep: Better this week compared to last. Still tired in the afternoons when that 3 PM naptime wants to be my friend and let’s face it, sometimes, I cave. Yea. Be jelly.

Food Cravings:  Pudding, fruits, yogurt, and pasta. Not sure why but the pudding thing is probably the one thing I’m craving the most, which is totally weird by the way since I never eat pudding.

What I Miss: Walking up the stairs or uphill and not feeling like I’m gonna die cuz I’m out of breath! Pregnancy does strange things to your body for sure…

Symptoms: A few charlie horses at night (not fun!), and legs/feet aching..

Belly Button: Still an innie..but I can tell it’s headed for the outtie phase!

Best Moments of This Week:

Well this week has been SEW crazy! I FINALLY finished my curtains for the breakfast nook which I had started god knows how long ago. You can tell here what it looked like before and here is the finished version! I’m so glad I stenciled these curtains because they came out beautiful! All that hard work actually paid off.  LOVING IT!

I then got pretty obsessed with making burp cloths for Aria (look at me using her name!!) because it turns out there aren’t that many cute ones out there at the stores. I’m a fan of the cute prints…so, of course I scoured Pinterest and came across this awesome tutorial and made 10! SUPER EASY and so cute!

– Then of course announcing Aria’s name was awesome. We hung up the letters above the crib and FaceTimed our parents to tell them!

Well, now that you know her name, what do you think?!

I love those curtains in your kitchen, where did you get them? ~~ Elena

Thanks Elena! I actually just picked up plain white curtains (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30111978/) and stenciled them! All the moroccan inspired curtains out there were really expensive and plus they didn't have the color I wanted. I then added coordinating cloth to the bottom of the curtains to elongate them so they could be floor to length ceiling! =)

oh wow, those are really nice!!! Yes, the moroccan patterened curtains are expensive!! Where did you find the stencil…did you do a tutorial? I have no idea how to stencil, LoL. They look great, and I want to try to make them for my house too!!! You are so crafty 🙂

Aw thanks girl! I bought the stencil from Michael's. It was about $16.99 but then I used a 40% off coupon. =)

I basically got a sample of Behr paint in the color I wanted from Home Depot and those tend to be around $2.99. Grabbed a foam roller brush, mixed the Behr paint with a little bit of fabric medium and went to town! There are a couple of tutorials out on Pinterest but I think this one would be really helpful to follow: http://twentysomethingtransue.blogspot.com/2011/04/how-to-stencil-curtians.html.

It's too bad we're not in the same city…would've loved to help you! =)
